This site was set up by John Kohlstrand, a former staffer for the Democratic caucus of the Ohio House of Representatives who now lives in Colorado Springs.

When Kohlstrand began working on Capitol Square in Columbus in 2003, he soon became fascinated by the history of the Ohio Statehouse and the men and women who served within it. Two decades later, he still digs into Ohio’s legislative and political history when he gets a chance.

With this site, the plan (for now) is to occasionally share stories about this rich history. Some stories may be prompted by current events on Capitol Square. Others may simply convey interesting anecdotes from an earlier time.

This site will likely only be updated occasionally. (On the other hand, the site is free!) To find out when a new story is posted, follow Kohlstrand on Twitter at @JohnKohlstrand.
